Submissions Guidelines:
All submissions must be original, unpublished work that is not under consideration by a print or web-based journal.

Submissions that are currently posted or accessible on any personal or commercial blogs or websites are not eligible.

While haiku / senryu posted on Facebook are eligible;
haiku / senryu posted on Twitter are not eligible.

You may submit up to: 10 haiku / senryu but only one submission per issue will be considered.

Submission Periods:
February 1 - to - February 28/29 (Spring Issue)
May 1 - to - May 31 (Summer Issue)
September 1 - to - September 30 (Fall Issue)
November 1 - to - November 30 (Winter Issue)

Submissions by e-mail only:
in the body of the e-mail (no attachments)
with subject line: The Cicada’s Cry Submission
with place of residence noted in the body of the e-mail

At this time The Cicada’s Cry is a non-paying publication. Poets published in The Cicada’s Cry will receive three contributor’s copies and may purchase additional issues in which their work appears at a half price discount per issue or .50 cents per copy.

Contributor Copyright:
All prior copyrights are retained by contributors. Full rights revert to contributors upon publication in The Cicada’s Cry.
